I've accustomed a numbness to pain
The blood from my wrist forms a stain
The heart I had no longer exists
There were things that I should've fixed
The tears swell up in my eyes
I never got to say my good-byes
Nobody will ever know

I couldn't handle it anymore
It finally made it's way to the core
Next thing I knew I had a knife
I guess I was hoping it would take away my pain & strife
As I look back now I know it didn't
How could I have been so dumb and petulant
